6D20.20 - Diffraction Gratings w/ Laser Gun

Diffraction Gratings with Laser Gun Demo
Diffraction Gratings with Laser Gun Demo

Code: 6D20.20

Demo Title: Diffraction Gratings w/ Laser Gun

Subject: Gratings

Description:
The diffraction pattern of light through a diffraction grating is a function of the number of slices and wavelength. More the slices, the more distant adjacent maxima are. Lower wavelength spreads less.

Procedure:

Dave first shows the diffraction pattern of green laser through diffraction grating of 100, 300 and then 600 slices/mm. After that he shows how the diffraction pattern of red, green and purple lasers differ for the same grating.
