Demo Title: Rolling With Torque

Description:
Using large spool and rope torque is used to spin the wheel.


Procedure:

  • Explain that torque can be used to spin a wheel.
  • Using the smaller spool suspended on the rod pull on the first rope and show it rotates. Repeat this step with 2nmd rope and it will spin the opposite direction.
  • Move to the larger spool on the floor and pick up the rope.
  • Ask the audience which way the spool with roll if you pull on the rope.
  • Pull on the rope from different angles to change the direction it rolls.
