4A30.15 Coil Wire ThermostatTwo thermostat coils made from flat spring steel with pointer rods added to the outer end. One flat, and one stretched into the shape of a cone. Both work the same. Shows that most thermostats are just coils of spring steel.
4A30.20 Ball And RingA ring with a set of two balls, one over and one under size. Heat the ring and slip over both. For large ball and ring use the burner that sits underneath the ball when it is not sitting in the ring. Heat up the large ball with the burner while it is sitting outside the ring. After 2 minutes use the top/middle part of the chain to life it into the ring

4A30.55 Expansion RodOne end of a rod rests on a needle attached to a pointer with attached mirror. The pointer will move as the rod is heated. Shine a laser at the mirror to observe minute expansion.
